They happened to be teammates in a 24-hour relay race, the 180-mile Hood to Coast run that crosses through Portland, Ore. Each runner did stints of 3-8 miles while teammates followed along in a cozy van.

75-year-old woman drives car through liquor store — again
Miata driver crashes Atlanta liquor store again.
A 75-year-old woman drove her car through the front of an Atlanta liquor store Monday, causing 1,500 bottles of alcohol to shatter, police said.
According to the incident report, Constance Chapman crashed her car into the front window of Green’s package store at 737 Ponce de Leon Avenue around 3:15 p.m. Chapman, who drives a white Mazda Miata, said her brakes went out while she was attempting to pull into a parking space in front of the store. She also told officers at the scene that this is the second time she has done this at Green’s.

The car runs great! Besides feeling smoother and being quieter, one of the first things I noticed is that the car no longer vibrates when I’m at a stop light. I the acceleration is a little better as well.

Scott, from Palm Harbor FL, had a cylinder down in his 1991 silver automatic Mazda Miata and I found a burnt valve in the #1 cylinder. I replaced the valve and cleaned the combustion chambers. Scott’s Miata has come back to life. Now he has set his sights on making the AC cold again.

Mark Thompson bought a Borla Exhaust for 1991 1.6L Mazda Miata and also had it installed at the shop the same day June 11. The exhaust was formerly on Dona Vence’s 1991 Miata, but her car was totaled after being hit in rear.

Dona bought the car back from insurance and we have been slowly parting it out. Marks catalytic converter was a bear, so we removed and replaced it with a test pipe. Mark seemed pretty happy with the mods and the new sounds made by his Miata.

The system sounds good and I didn’t notice any drop in power yet. But I really don’t get on it when I’m running the AC.
